Questions, answered honestly
Will a low carbon, sustainable site cost me more?
No.
Not with me, and there is no real reason why it should. I build every client’s website in a similar way to a typical site; I just apply a sustainable website design philosophy to minimise the carbon footprint along the way.
Will my eco-friendly website be hampered by its green credentials?
Absolutely not. In fact, one client joined me and, by changing just one thing, I increased their website performance by 57.7% and reduced their carbon footprint by 95%.
I see this repeatedly with new clients, who often come back to redevelop their sites for even greater ecological benefits.
How long does it take to build a website?
Honestly? It’s a bit how long is a piece of string, because it depends on the size and complexity of the site.
As a rough guide: a single-page website under my One Plan is usually ready in a week to ten days. A bespoke, multi-page website takes longer, typically a couple of months, because there’s more design, content and technical work involved, and I build each one properly rather than rushing it.
The biggest variable is usually content. The quicker you can get me your text, images and any brand assets, the quicker your website goes live. I’ll always give you a realistic timescale before we start, so you know exactly what to expect.
What is the cost of a single page website?
My single-page websites come under the One Plan, ideal for start-ups or a small business website. Everything you need is included: a year of hosting, a year of support, a one-page website, a domain, an email account, and basic SEO. Terms apply.
How much does it cost to design a website?
What is your support like?
Outstanding, even if I do say so myself. My longest-standing client, who has been with me for over 13 years, often messages with additions or questions outside office hours, and there is nearly always an immediate reply, if not action to address it.
Every new website includes six months of support. I also offer WordPress Care Plans for real peace of mind, and support on a PAYG basis.
